Ordering

How do I place an order?

You can place your order directly through our online store at thesavourymama.co.za. Simply browse our range of Halaal platters, savouries and snack boxes, add items to your cart and checkout. For large orders, please contact us directly. We do not offer customised platters or personalised platter selections.

How far in advance do I need to order?

We recommend placing your order at least 24-48 hours in advance to help us confirm availability. Same-day delivery may be available for eligible orders placed before 10:00 AM, subject to availability and confirmation. For large events or corporate orders, we recommend 3-5 days notice.

Can I customise my platter?

No. We do not offer customised platters or personalised platter selections. Please choose from the platter selections advertised in our online store.

Do you offer fruit cups?

No. We currently offer fruit platters but do not offer individual fruit cups.

Delivery

Do you deliver in Cape Town?

Yes, delivery is available in Cape Town seven days a week, subject to confirmation and operational capacity. Same-day delivery may be available for eligible orders placed before 10:00 AM, subject to availability and confirmation. Delivery fees vary according to location. Please check at checkout or contact us to confirm we deliver to your area.

What are your operating hours and delivery arrangements?

Our business operating hours are Monday–Friday 08:00–16:00, Saturday 08:00–14:00 and Sunday 08:00–12:00. These are not guaranteed delivery windows. Delivery is available seven days a week, subject to confirmation and operational capacity. Same-day delivery may be available for eligible orders placed before 10:00 AM, subject to availability and confirmation.

Delivery times cannot be guaranteed because of routing, order volumes, traffic and operational circumstances. Please contact us to confirm arrangements for time-sensitive events.

Collection from our home-based catering kitchen in Sanddrift, Milnerton is by prior arrangement. We do not have a walk-in retail store; please confirm collection arrangements before visiting.

Is there a minimum order for delivery?

Please contact us or check at checkout for current minimum order requirements for delivery.

Our Food

Is your food strictly Halaal?

The Savoury Mama is a Muslim-owned catering business using strictly Halaal ingredients. We are not Halaal-certified.

Do you cater for vegetarians?

Yes! We offer a range of vegetarian platters and savouries. Check our collections for vegetarian options. We do not offer customised vegetarian platters or personalised platter selections.

Do your products contain allergens?

Allergen notice: Products are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, soy, gluten and other allergens. Please contact us before ordering if you have specific allergy concerns.

Frozen Savouries

How do I cook your frozen savouries?

Our frozen savouries can be baked, fried or air-fried at home. Cooking instructions are included on the packaging. For best results, do not microwave.

How long do frozen savouries last?

Our frozen savouries can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. Once defrosted, consume within 24 hours and do not refreeze.
