At The Savoury Mama, we are committed to providing fresh, high-quality savouries, platters, snack boxes and catering products.

Food Returns

Due to the perishable nature of our products and food safety requirements, we generally do not accept returns for change-of-mind purchases.

This does not affect customers' rights under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

Order Cancellations

Customers are requested to submit cancellation requests at least 24 hours before their scheduled delivery or collection.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before fulfilment will be assessed individually, taking into consideration preparation already completed, ingredients purchased and reasonable costs incurred.

Any cancellation fees or deductions will be reasonable and subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

Deposits are not automatically forfeited.

Order Changes

Requests to change quantities, delivery arrangements or collection times must preferably be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Changes are subject to availability and confirmation.

We do not offer customised platters or personalised platter selections.

Incorrect, Missing or Unsatisfactory Orders

Customers are encouraged to inspect their orders upon receipt.

If there is a problem involving incorrect products, missing items, food quality or damaged packaging, please contact us as soon as possible.

We encourage reporting within two hours of receiving an order, together with photographs and order details, to help us investigate promptly.

This reporting window does not limit any statutory consumer rights.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, resolutions may include a replacement, correction of the order, partial or full refund, or agreed store credit.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will normally be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Bank and payment-provider processing times may vary.

Allergies and Dietary Information

Our kitchen handles ingredients that may contain nuts, dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, eggs and other allergens.

We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

The Savoury Mama is a Muslim-owned catering business using strictly Halaal ingredients. We are not Halaal-certified.
